That is cool. The only ones I've seen were in Amherst, MA. Seems like Alabama has some pretty unique fox squirrels too. My goal over the next few years is to get back into squirrel hunting. Though I will pass on any unusual ones. They are too cool to shoot IMO.

I saw one this week in Charlotte MI., ran across the road. Was solid black head to tail, first one I had ever seen

Saw one a few weeks ago while camping at Noccalula Falls. There were actually several ruling around there.

We have a good many black squirrels in the especially in the Atchafayla Basin. Never seen anything other than grey squirrels on my property in Bama until last week. Saw a small black squirrel run under my stand.

Several management areas in the MS delta such as twin oaks and mahannah are loaded with color phase grey squirrels. I have seen black, red, and white ones
