That one I shot on the main farm was a biggun! He got brave and was grazing in the edge of a pasture on the farm in the daylight hours. From a distance we thought it was a monster sized nutria. After I saw it was a beaver, I committed to popping him with a 22.
Tough trapping, they don't have lodges, they live up in the friggin briar patches. They keep this section flooded and part of the field so, the boss paying me for moles and beavers now lol
Now your talking my kind of talk. Moles. I have trapped 91 in the last 3 years.
I trap over 300 a year lol. Trying to keep the dirt out of the grass cutting we use for silage. I have a lot of acreage I'm trapping. Didn't bust my butt last month and had about 40. Everyone thinks ya got to cover the hole once ya set the trap, it's not true. Set the trap and on to the next one
Great job. I am surprised there are that many left once you have gotten that many. Which trap's do you use? I use the mole eliminator.
I use the Victor Out o sight mole traps. Just got another dozen traps yesterday. On3 thing I see 99% of the time is people placing boards or buckets over set traps. It mat help keep animals out but, you don't need to cover them to catch the moles.
