Had no idea season was open....

I went to hot and too many skeeters.

I might go explore some woods this afternoon toting my 22, but not expecting anything. Had too many chores from the wife this morning.

Too dang hot.

I killed 3 tree rats in my front yard. Bastages are making a mess in my pecan trees

I killed 3 this morning at Choccolocco. That's 3 more than I killed last season. Shot another but couldn't find it. Saw quite a few, at a distance. I couldn't find any squirrels last year. That is, until I started deer hunting. Going again in the morning.

Shot AT one on talladega, no idea where that sucker went lol

Too hot for me to chase the rats yet.

I went out this morning on some TVA land and immediately turned around and came back. I thought it was fog I was walking into, turns out it was a cloud of mosquitos.

I went this morning on Wheeler & it was way to hot plus mosquitoes were as big as birds. Saw 3 but never got a shot.

I almost went to Wheeler, at my parents for the day and thought about going out there but opted for the TVA land closer to their house. I guess I should give it a few more weeks but I wanted to be in the woods and hunt something. I may still go this afternoon out on my lease.

Dammit boy those are respectable

I carried the feist out this afternoon for a couple of hours before dark. Made 2 trees, saw 1 but it got in nest before a clean shot.
Little 2 year old is doing great.
