Same as browning. Ive had good luck.

Dunns had SX4s last werk on sale for $700 in bottomland and some other mossy oak pattern. I think black synthetic were $75 cheaper. That was in the store but online it may be the same... just for a heads up. I cant believe I didnt buy one and it is driving me crazy.

I have the SX3 in both 12 and 20 as my duck hunting guns. Both are solid shotguns, shoot well and are easy to clean. I think the SX4 has the same internals as the SX3 just cosmetic updates.

My son found a sx4 at walmarks in martin, tn priced for right at $500. He called me and told me and i said go back and get it now. He went back and a 4-5 hour ordeal ensued. He's a full time, out of state student up there. They wouldn't sell him the gun because his DL was an alabama license. He argued and held his ground until they relented and sold to him...then the guy started in that it was mis-tagged. Son said, that's your second screw up for the day. Walked out with a black synthetic sx4 for less than $600

Nice find.

I ran into that same thing at a walmart in GA. They didnt budge, so your son must be a better negotiator than me.

I have a 20 ga SX3 my son shot for a few years and it has been great, never an issue with any light load, dove load, turkey load, or steel shot. It even says browning made in Belgium on the barrel. I liked it so much I bought a SX4 12 ga (made in Portugal) and it has also been great. I would guess there has been maybe 1000-1300 shells through the 20ga and closer to 700-800 through the 12 ga.

Both are very low recoil, and are slim in profile which I prefer in shotguns.

Pretty durable guns. Dunked my 20 gauge SX3 one time duck hunting. Finished the hunt, got the shells out, took the gun completely apart and let air dry overnight. A little oil, reassembled and she never missed a beat.

One, they don’t shoulder worth a damn to me. I’m 6’3” and I can’t get my head down without looking over the hump.

Two, not everyone wants the shoulder smashing and pinched thumb when loaded the magazine tube.

And last, regardless of what you think, they make new guns now that are less money, more dependable, and useable than any A-5 ever made.

Why can’t guys just use the gun they want and let others one do that same. You get way to nutted up over stuff, especially brownings. Always one of them guys in camp it seems. Ther stuff is the best, no matter what it is. 🤣🤣

The new A5s are not the heirloom pieces their predecessors were.

What about the Weatherby SA08 20 gauge? Anybody have a review? I've been looking for an 1100 or 1187 in a 20 gauge for months. No luck. I've been hearing about the Stoeger M3020 and the SA08. Thinking about grabbing one of these. Input from anyone? Or possibly another comparable option? Looking to stay around $750 or below if possible.
