Slow so far in south Bibb. Hottest opening day ever.

Killed one so far. Slow on my end if field. Barrel burner on other end.

Sitting in a bean field with wheat stubble at swan creek, been slow but peaceful (barely anyone around me) but I’m AMAZED at the amount of road hunters... I bet I’ve had 20 cars full of people drive by in the last couple hours.

As an interesting side not, it appears that the “main” dove fields may be on fire? I am seeing a TON of black smoke from that direction (I’m across the bay) is there anyone over that way that can confirm/deny?

Was at a barn burner. About 3:45 it was like some one flipped a switch it sounded like a war zone. I sucked it up shooting. Had to leave about 5 o’clock.

Sums up the day.

I picked up 4. I prob should’ve had 7-8. My side was real slow and I shot terrible. Was grateful for the invite.

We ended up shooting 21 between 3 of us.

Just woke up. Too many bloody Marie’s and I missed the shoot.

We killed 7 between 4 of us. We didn’t have but a few birds.

We had a great opening day in Blount county. Steady shooting all over the field. This was the first time in 20 years that I limited out 😎 and did it fairly early too. Was fun sitting in the shade watching everyone and spotting birds for them too, after hitting the limit. Someone chime in and tell me your favorite way to prepare and cook them.

Field had Steady shooting from 2:30-5:30. For the first time in my life I was the first to finish, took me 49 shots for my 15.

Nice. Was hoping the farmer would have his corn out by now so I could shoot a few geese but all my fields are still standing.
