Can you get you HIP online?? And if so how? Computer was down when I went to get one this morning and they said I could get one that way but I can't seam to find a link. Just tells me I am required to have one. Can call but they charge a fee for that.

Just go the the license purchase page. It is listed as one of the items.
You have to enter your info to get to the purchase page:

Web site came back up and finally worked for me. I wouldn't think a kid would need one because they don't need a license.

I have that Pocket Ranger thingy if that's the same thing, but never thought about that.

Bought my license on the Outdoor Alabama app and got everything I needed including the HIP. Also got my son’s HELP number on his Outdoor Alabama app, and it didn’t give the option of a HIP survey for him. I’m assuming this is because of his age. I was always under the impression that everyone had to do it for migratory birds, but maybe I was wrong.

If you do not need a license you are exempt from needing a HIP stamp -


• Hunters who are exempt from hunting license requirements are also exempt from HIP

Alabama Game, Fish and Wildlife Regulation 220-2-.118
PRIVILEGE:
• Required of all LICENSED hunters (residents 16 – 64 and non-residents 16 years of age
or older) for Dove, Woodcock, Ducks, Geese, Rails/Gallinules, and Coot/Snipe.
NOTE:
• HIP are only issued electronically.
• Hunters who are exempt from hunting license requirements are also exempt from HIP
Stamp.
