Anybody else out there sweating there asses off? Its slow in cullman county but starting to hear shots from the other end of the field

Had a decent shoot today in Shelby County. It was blazing hot. Had to leave at 5 to get back for dinner with the in laws but birds flew well from 3:45-5:00.

That area always has some birds on it. Pretty looking fields through there.

I was on the bypass today and am not seeing near as many birds (hardly any) as I have in years past. They were combining corn today so that may help. Usually the power lines are covered with them.

Got checked by a GW Saturday morning for the first time ever on a dove field. He wanted to see my license but insulted my shooting ability by not even bothering to check my doves. I got only 7, so I guess he knew something.

I attempted to hunt at Swan Creek WMA but saw zero birds from 2:30 to 5:00. There were four or five other guys sweating their asses off out there as well.

Got a limit yesterday on a field we killed over 300 on last weekend. Birds were few and far between but I found the “x” on the field and shot well. Most shooting was between 4-5:30

We shot Saturday and Sunday - Saturday we cleaned 285, yesterday we cleaned 165. Two great shoots. Had 5 game wardens storm the field yesterday at 4:45. Came flying in sideways just to find everything was legal and up to code.

They had been seen 2 hours earlier staging to come in, but just waited until it was prime time to roll in.
