2nd weekend

Who's going to try their luck again? Hoping I knocked all the rust off this past weekend and can possibly shoot better than 25%. Still have a few birds hanging around.

We'll be out there. I'm sure my shooting will be just as miserable...

Gonna try some teal. But there is cut corn just behind the water. If no ducks, ill swap to dove.

Need more birds. On a different note had geese coming in to feed on my corn today. I texted some friends asking them to please come kill them. I hate a goose but I'm not wasting time to kill them.

im gonna try it out at my dads place sunday morning. been in and out up there over the past few days and been seeing enough birds that im gonna try to knock a few down

We're hitting up the ADCNR youth hunt at Solo's family place in Marshall County. Hoping it is a good one!

I will be taking a young man on his first dove hunt. We have been shooting skeet this week trying to get him ready.
Should be an interesting afternoon.
I am hoping the youth dove hunt we signed up for will have plenty of birds for him to shoot at.....

I'll be back out there again Sunday on a fresh farm. And it's loaded.
Going to burn part of it today if it's dry enough.

I'll be down that way too, but on HWY 25. Tons of birds a few weeks ago and wasn't hunted last week. Hopefully the birds held. First dove hunt I've been on in years.

Is that the Hale County Youth Dove hunt? Is that one on 25?

Sehoy is shooting today and Ive got another in Lee co tomorrow.

I went this morning and limited out at 0800. Best hunt I've been on in 7-10 years.

Killed a few yesterday, went to a morning shoot today and it was real slow, killed the only bird I shot at. Saw maybe 20 total.

Worked on fields till 3 yesterday evening the shot till dark. Killed 9.

Shot yesterday and killed a couple. Extremely slow compared to last weekend. Kids (4&6) went with me and had a ball other than it was hotter than all heck.

Hot, slow and all birds have disappeared in my neck of the woods.

Was planning to shoot at my dads place but didn't see a single bird... I saw enough up there earlier in the week to make a limit if I could hit them

Went and tilled up a spot this afternoon then shot the upper end of our field killed 15 or so between two of us

My dad and me knocked the bottom out of a case of beer and killed 13. The least amount of birds we've killed and the most fun I've had on a hunt this season.

Yep way slower this weekend. Still had some limits but you had to work for them. I think I only killed 9-10. Maybe 100 birds killed on the field

how was the hale county youth hunt? The one we went on wasn't that great.

8 of us shot 108 Sunday afternoon.

I went on Sunday afternoon at a friend's family's farm south of Cullman. It was the first time the field had been hunted this season. It was covered up. Best dove hunt I've ever been on.
