Went out with a blast!

Probably the last hunt I'll get to go on in AL until mid-Feb. But, it was a good one! The weather was nice and cool, the dogs were fresh and the hogs were thick on the acorns......deadly combination!
We caught/killed 8 and were out before lunch with all the dogs intact! The dogs did a real good job. There were deer everywhere you looked! But, they did just like they were supposed to and hunted hogs! Shut em down quick and bayed real good. One of the most fun hunts I have had all year!

And, I do mean deer EVERYWHERE on this place!
These 6 fawns were all born in this large foodplot and don't know how to get out yet. Their Moms jumped the fence and were walking up and down the woodline waiting on us to leave.

As far as knives: just whatever I have handy. I have recently been sticking a Walther P22 to the back of their head and popping them.

Are you even gonna get to hunt your new dog before Spring?

I'm takin her Sunday night. I got a call about a good one coming to a friends feeder so I'm gonna go try her out. Every where else I got shut me down about 3 weeks ago. I'm ready to see what she will do.

From everything I hear....she is pretty nice with TONS of potential! Treat her right and hunt her hard and you should have a dog.

As soon as deer season goes out she is gonna get hunted hard. I should be on shift by then instead of 5-10s. Did you get one of the pups out of her and Tag?

Ya'll don't have any tracts you can hog hunt till after deer/turkey season is over?

The ones that we can, we don't. We do this out of Respect for the adjoining landowners and to reduce User-Group conflicts.

It is a SHAME too.....
The dogs work SO much better during the cooler weather and more open woods!

I must say, this was some of the most fun I have ever had hunting. Danny and Don are great guys and really know what they are doing. Thanks for a great time and I hope we can do it again one day. And the knife was a Cutco outdoor knife.
