Boar Hog Video - weight guess?

What do yall think this hog will run? 180 lbs? He seems to be bull of the woods running all these other hogs around.

That is a marvelous looking hog. I'd say 180lbs is a pretty accurate guess. He does have some length to him and wide chest, so at the upper extreme he may be pushing 210 lbs.

At time mark 0:04 you get a good broadside look at him and he is pushing twice the size of a 90 lb sow. It looks as though his height is just over half the height of your feeder.

I'd use the width and heighth of the feeder legs to estimate his dimensions and use the following calculation:

Now keep in mind, in my experience wild pigs are bit more muscle (more dense) than fatty domestic pigs.

Thanks. That hog just looks like he’s built different than the other boars. I don’t know if it’s because he’s actually older and larger or what. Looks like a linebacker. He seems to run the others off and generally foul attitude. I killed one that looks a lot like him a couple years ago and I would guesstimate him as 200ish, but couldn’t get him to a scale. Maybe I’ll kill him one day and find out what he actually weighs.
