I sure miss hunting down there! My son killed his first hog just outside of Camden years ago. I'm just too old to make the drive now. Had some great times there and we've followed the Hornswamp for years.

What was the estimated distance on the group slaughter? Can you get multiple hogs with a light or does the use of darkness and the thermal create more multiple opportunities due to confused piggies?

The group of pigs was about 40 yards. I've never used a light so I really can't say. I expect they will spook much faster.

I stay moving. I never set up and wait. I check farmland and pasture land from the truck, stopping at times to walk up for a better view. I stalk some hardwoods and big pine plantations. I cover a lot of ground some nights and I never sit still.
