New Alabama night hunting law in effect?

Didn't they pass a law where you don't need a permit to hunt hogs at night during the summer? What's the specifics or did I just imagine that?

May 1st to August the 30th I believe. U can use a light, but use of bait is still illegal unless you have a permit....

There's always a snag. They can't just let folks have at it, to kill some hogs. Geez.

Yep total bs if you ask me. If you have any feeders near by for "deer" I'm sure you'll get hammered with a ticket smh..

....and like the warden wouldn't give you any trouble riding around at night shining fields with loaded guns and spotlights. "No sir, fields not baited"

I wonder if wardens really care enough about this issue to really focus on handing out tickets for killing a dang hog over bait at night. Maybe I'm wrong, but I would tend to think it would be pretty low on the priority list on a hot summers night. I mean if I guy wants to go ride out to his fields where feeders are and see if he can bust some hogs one night who is that really hurting from a wardens point of view. Anyways, maybe I better not even try.

When I would hunt hogs in Elmore county at night the GW told me to always send him a text before I went so if he got any calls he already knew what was going on. I never had a problem.

Can you use nightvision/thermal or is that still off the table for us folk who can't pay for guided hunts on big farms that lease to private outfitters?
