There are a good many down there in places.
They are hunted a good bit, though.
They are kinda odd, really....
They run in large groups and will completely leave an area if pressured. They will reside in a fairly small area for a while and then move again!
You have to remember, hogs are smart. Smarter than dogs, even. They can reason enough to know when an area gets too hot for them. They're crafty, so we have to be just as crafty so they won't expect us. One thing that makes them careless is a feeder, which we used to use in Texas. Even then, the smart ones know where we hide, and keep the dumber ones between them and the shooter. I'm not sure if feeders are legal here. Still learning the local rules and regs.
