Ryegrass control in wheat - 06/28/23 10:14 PM

Trying to figure out how to manage fall plots that are infested with Italian Ryegrass. Have found a label for Pre-Pare Herbicide which is applied at .3 oz/acre. Bonus is that is also works to control wild Turnips. Label doesn’t mention clover bug was hoping a wheat/ladino plot could be established.

Any suggestions for other herbicide options? Guess another option is to plant normal 3 way mix plus clovers then nuke with Clethodim the day after season ends leaving the clovers to feed through green up.

Haven’t found an online source for Pre-Pare so no idea of cost. If it’s still available Nutrien or Helena may have it.

JohnG hooked me up with something years ago can’t remember the name. Reach out to him to see what he uses.

A past member(257 I think) recommended Axial Bold herbicide. I have used it an it works well. It is expensive, but goes a long way.
