Medium price no till drill - 04/19/21 03:06 PM

I had a tar river saya no till drill on order for months but they were not available locally. I finally ended up buying one in Georgia. This morning the dealer in Elmore county called and said the one I ordered is in. Heads up for anyone who is interested

Used for first time yesterday. Planted three acres of soybeans in standing wheat and oats after killing with glysophate. Very impressed. Soils was fairly sandy and had some moisture. No problem with planting depth through vegetation. The flaps don’t cover rows as much as wheels would but that’s why I planted in advance of great rain chances

I am working on an atlernative. I bought a flail mower, broadcast beans/peas into standing cereal grains, and then ran over it with the flail mower, which covers the seed and the roller acts alot like a cultipacker. I did not spray it, but I may have to go over with clethodim.

So far it looks like I am getting pretty good germination.
