I haven't done any comparisons or experiments, but I just add Dawn to my sprayer.

Same here. Good old soap. I got enough other stuff to worry about.

Add liquid AMS. It'll help more than anything.

I've been using the spray grade powder for several years. I think I get (6) 50 gallon tanks out of a 51lb bag. What does the liquid sell for and what's the mix ratio?

My favorite was Phase II from Riverside. Local Co-op doesn't have it anymore but has a similar product called Class Act. Much better than dish soap in my opinion.

I usually just buy a jug of surfactant from Tractor Supply. When spraying cogon grass and other stuff it just sticks better. I sprayed some bamboo fishing canes the other day and I know it won't stick to that stuff without a surfactant.

I've been using gly for over 20 years and have never added a surfactant and I've always gotten a good kill. I do use one when I add 2,4,d to the mix.

most of the generic roundup sold has a surfactant already in it

Unless you're spraying some kind of seriously tough to kill plant then I don't see where what you get from the co-op needs anything added. The generic I get is called Cornerstone Plus. It's my understanding that the "Plus" means plus surfactant. Never had an issue with getting good kills on your everyday weeds and grasses.

Yep. Stuff I buy at TSC has it already in it.

Doesn't mean adding will hurt.

Doesn't mean adding more will help either. I prefer to go by the labels. If the label doesn't tell me to add any, I'm not wasting my money by adding it.

I add some class act or synergy or something to everything I spray. Most are like $40 for 2.5 gal and 1 pint per 100 gal. It's not like it cost a fortune. Chemical is the cheap part of the equation to me
