I was thinking with all the rain that the turkey poult survival would be real bad, but this morning near Helicon I saw a hen with 11 nice size poults beside the road.

I have only seen 2 hens at different locations. One had 1 with it, the other had 2. Dont know if it was the rain or other factors.
Anyone who is a turkey hunter should be trapping coons. DP traps are inexpensive and easy to use.
I've seen a pile of poults this year up and down the highway and around some of my hunting land
Ive seen one group with poults is it.
I've actually seen a good many hens with poults this year. Had 3 hens with poults hanging around my fields and in my yard a good bit of the time. I just left a 500 acre tract I've been raking parts of and pushing fire lanes. I know I've seen 4 or 5 hens with poults while on that job.

I've been worried about the survival rate on my place this year. Been getting pics of lone hens on the fields. Finally today I saw a group of 8. Better than none I guess.
