Need a spreader for either my 4 wheeler, or my tractor for planting plots. 1/2ac with a yard spreader was no problem, but I'm hoping to have 5-6ac by summer. I'm not opposed to redneck engineering something either. What do y'all use?

I got a 500# three point spreader. Filled it up to the top a many a time.

That's probably going to be my best bet since all of my plots will be easily accessible with the tractor.

The only problem with that is you tie up your tractor. If you have a UTV and a buddy, get a stable pull-behind and you can disc and he can seed/fertilize.

I use a cabela's brand that mounts to my atv. I can take it places you can't take a tractor. Plus i would much rather ride my atv than my tractor. It holds 100lbs.

We have two of these for our 14 acres of fields and could not be happier after several years of use.

I bought one that is built like a standard three point tractor spreader, that bas an axel and grarbox under it so you can pull it with a tractor, four wheeler, or whatever. If it broke today I would buy another one just like it.

For us the 4 wheelers with the $110 moultrie spreaders have worked the quickest but we have a bunch of small plots spread out.
If we run fertilizer thru them we clean them well with soapy water , let dry and then oil to help them last.

I have a Moultrie with the manual gate I don't use. Really never used it but a time or two. PM me if you are interested. Garage Kept like new.

We use a Moultrie on the back of a side x side. It will hold a 100 lbs and works great.
