When to fertilize question

10 days ago we planted a few fields and I was literally spreading seed while it rained. Good soaking rain. Hasn't rained a drop since and none in the forecast. I was only able to put out a couple bags of fertilizer at planting. I plan on putting out 500 pounds of 13-13-13 between the various plots. I have the chance to go up there this weekend, but would it be better to wait? Fields are a couple hours away and can't always get up there on the weather's schedule. I worry that everything has germinated, but is stressed with no rain since. Maybe 250 pounds now and 250 later on?
