Re: burnt house hunting club - 02/03/15 12:11 AM

Well ain't much to see down here other than short pines and cut overs. Theres a few decent bucks here and there but other than that nothing to get all excited about. I've hunted there several yrs before the club and have been n the club. Its hunted HARD.

Re: burnt house hunting club - 02/03/15 06:15 AM

I have seen some good bucks on their Facebook page that they have killed this year. I was a member for two years but didn't get back in last year because I changed jobs. Them boys on burnt house really get after them. There are plenty of deer, turkey, and a lot of ducks too.

Re: burnt house hunting club - 08/21/15 03:59 PM

Just thought id share with yall. Dennis russell was the president over this club, hes a fraking scam artist and a piece of shucks. He screwed so many members out of there dues. He dropped the lease after all his committed members had already paid there dues which was $1450 and not giving it back says they dont have proof. He told everyone last yr the club leases 20k ac but it was only 14k. Said they would have 65 members but they had 100. He got fired offshore and used the extra members to support his hunting for the yr. He pocketed $49300. Now they are all having to pay dues again to a new president just to save the club. So dont no body do any doings with this low down sob.

And yes before anyone says anything. I personally know the low down piece of shucks. I was in the club last yr and have hunted around him for yrs.

Re: burnt house hunting club - 08/21/15 04:16 PM

Surely there are some of the members that paid with a check that said "club dues" on it. I would try and prosecute him. Where is the club?

Re: burnt house hunting club - 08/22/15 03:05 PM

I heard they lost of bunch of land too. Cant remember why, state took it back for some reason or something. Dont kniw if theres any truth to it. Also heard they have two groups that hunt at the same time. The A group which consists of the older fellas. And the B group who drink and smoke dope. So theres 2 drives going on at the same time. Dont know for sure. Heard they kill alot of deer though.

Re: burnt house hunting club - 08/23/15 01:52 PM

I have been concerned since we haven't had a club meeting yet. These recent post about Dennis are very concerning. I have been texting and calling to see if I could get a camper spot. A good friend of mine and I have paid in full, all I can do is hope and pray it works out. The news we have gotten is membership still isn't full and we will have a meeting then. Honestly it's almost September and I have a bad feeling about this.

Re: burnt house hunting club - 08/28/15 07:15 PM

My name is Glen Greathouse,I am the new Vice President of Burnt House Hunting Club.
I'm here to tell you that , goodman_hunter, and bar_7mag are not telling it correctly.
1) the past president Dennis Russel is in the past. He didn't run the club as he should have but that's a Members problem.
2) their is actually (3) THREE ! Groups hunting the leased land made up of members. Not A & B. All three groups get after it without any conflict from each other or neighbors.
(3) while I'm sure the majority does enjoy a few beers I have never seen anyone out of the way with it.
(4) I have never seen or heard of any dope smoking or any othe illegal drug use.
And for the record if anyone ever got out of hand that member would not be welcome back.
(5) we do kill good deer every year and will continue.
(6) I would be happy to know who you two authorities are and what gives you the right to lie about the good members of Burnt House when it's clear you either don't know the entire story or you just make things up to fill in the blanks.
Any questions feel free to call me
3348043629 or email me at burnthousehc@yahoo.com
Out members are good hard working people that don't deserve to be called drunks or dope heads by someone who simple does not know!!!
Thank you!

But what was told to me was also confirmed from someone else. I aint gonna get into how i know, but what i said was pretty accurate. And you know that as well as i do.
Posted By: goodman_hunter

Re: burnt house hunting club - 08/28/15 08:07 PM

Why dont you explain to us the whole story. Also i didnt lie or make anything up.
Posted By: bar_7mag

Re: burnt house hunting club - 08/28/15 08:10 PM

And glen i wasnt bashing the club or anybody other than dennis russell. If youd read it correctly youd know. Matter of fact i pm the op and told him since dennis was out that this club would run alot better and more honest.

Re: burnt house hunting club - 08/28/15 08:19 PM

And what i said came straight from several of your members.
Posted By: goodman_hunter

Re: burnt house hunting club - 08/28/15 08:24 PM

And i didnt call them drunks, i said some drink, which you confirmed by saying most drink. But im the one makeing stuff up?

When they're legit, no problem. When grown ass men act like a damn kindergarten kid, kinda annoying.

Definitely struck a nerve with him. He's sent out 3 within the last hour.

Every time I think about bitching about hunting public land, I just come visit this forum. whistle

Re: burnt house hunting club - 08/28/15 08:59 PM

The point is ..... what your posting is second hand at best I don't owe this forum or either of you anything. If either of you was concerned or mattered I posted my number and email. There is no need running down club members or the club when they were the victims of management before I came in the picture. Once again we have a good club and good members that does not deserve being called drunks or dope heads.
Posted By: goodman_hunter

Re: burnt house hunting club - 08/28/15 09:22 PM

Its actually a little better than 2nd hand info, but whatever. And why you keep saying i called them drunks. You said the exact same thing i said but said most members " most"members drink, were i only said one group. And it aint exactly fair for you to get on here and call us liars and then turn around and say you dont owe this forum any explanation. Im sure that it is a good club and have heard y'all kill several good deer every year. But dont act like i did something wrong for saying what i said.

Well how about trespassers then? Can an adjoining landowner call them that? Oh hell I already know the answer cause I have seen photo proof of that.
Posted By: goodman_hunter

Re: burnt house hunting club - 08/29/15 01:52 PM

You know if he would have come on here and said fellas there's been alot of changes and we're working hard to get this club back on the right track. Folks would have accepted that and bought into it. But you cant change what you dont acknowledge. Like i got some reason to lie about it. But you do. Trying to fill them spots because everybody done jumped ship. I have a filling things aint as hunky dorey as your trying to make them sound.
