4200 acre Clarke county club

Looking for 2 to 3 members to join our club that has been managed for going on 5 years now. It is part of the old Scotch management area that was shut down 3 years prior to us getting lease. There is roughly 20 thousand acres joining together that have been managed for 4.5 year old bucks for the last 4 years. We just picked up additional 550 acres from one of the adjoining leases that has been on this same management plan. We have camp house and spots for camper hook ups. I hunted it in the 70’s. Overrun with turkeys.

Bump still looking for members. We may divide membership up between deer and turkey since most of my returning members don't turkey hunt. If we do divide we'll have 12 members for deer and up to 4 members for turkey only. It seems all prospective members are more worried about how many turkey hunters we'll have and don't seem to be interested in the deer membership. Lol. Simplest way I knew to put it. Haha.

Danny and I's lease is under new management based on personal choices by both of us. Danny is still highly involved with the club and I will possibly be on some level. In a nut shell Danny and I simply got tired of running a club of this size and dealing with people! It's like herding cats and it took all the fun out hunting for the both of us. My hat's off to those that run these large clubs!! I have found a nice property much closer to home that I am focusing most of my efforts on. I have 2 members and if at any point they choose to move on it will be myself only.

Wayne's club sits to the north of our property. He did end up with 550 acres of a thin strip that we had that bordered him.

Mike, been there and done that and it made it where I didn’t even want to go hunt at the lease I was over from having to deal with all the crap. There’s always one ass hat on each club that you have to deal with that makes it miserable.

Having my own lease where it just me and son has been so much more awesome than clubs for me. The turkey hunting not the best - but deer hunting very solid for this area

Yep exactly! Don't get me wrong, Danny and I ran a tight ship, however it was a full time job keeping tabs on everything. We could not relax and enjoy the property. You also hit another nail square on the head. We both got to the point we did not care to hunt a property we had worked our butts off to make it into what it is. I hunted a total of 3 afternoons all deer season last year. The writing was on the wall to make a change.

That's pretty good if you only had one ass hat. I have been in clubs that had several. Neverending drama like a bunch of old women.

I know the feeling sqeaky. I turned my club over to the guys in it as well. I did retain the leases in case I want to go back in I wanted to go back.

Droptine was there any particular reason you did this? Also what club so I can stay away if it's bad....
