Looking for 2022 lease - 04/03/22 08:51 PM

Myself and small group of friends are currently looking for 500 -2000 acres to lease. I have 8-10 guys that are ready to pull the trigger with money in hand. Besides timber land,we are open to agricultural land and pasture land as long as the farmer/ land owner is willing to work us. After being a part of clubs for a long time, we've come to realize it's best that we just try to find our own lease to manage and hunt the way we would like to with a small group instead of being part of a large group with different mindsets. I realize this is like trying to find a needle in a hay stack, but we don't care how the property has been hunted in the past. Just something we can hold on to for a long time with a long term lease agreement and build from the ground up and manage for 5+ year old bucks. The first few years would be spent working on management bucks and getting our buck : doe ratio in check.Property would be primarily bow hunted until the middle of January. We each carry a very light foot print when it comes to pressure and traffic on and off the property and try to leave a property in better shape than we found it. Must be able to put in and establish quality food plots with property owner approval ofcourse. Will have an established feeding program as well as summer plots with clover, soybeans, peas, and hemp. We would be more than happy to sit down for a breakfast or lunch date with the land owner to introduce ourselves with a hand shake and discuss our goals and give them an opportunity to get to know us a little. Would also be open to going in with a very small group who already have some property and are needing financial help to make improvements to the property as long as the vision is clear to establish a Trophy managed low pressure piece of land. Anywhere from central to South Alabama or north central Mississippi.

Buy your own land and make it how you want it. You will make a piece of land nice for someone else. The money your wanting to spend on a lease you could put towards buying land and making it yours. I leased a piece from a guy for 9 years and had an awesome place. Took it from a chit piece of land to a bad ass piece of property. The neighbor found out we were killing some good deer and slug some money at the land owner and that was it . 9 years of wasted time and a lot of money for someone else to have now
