Seeking Info. on clubs near Camden - 01/22/22 01:35 PM

I'm on the hunt for a club near Camden/ Millers ferry area. I currently have a lease in Butler county for the past few years just looking to get back into Wilcox county. I'm looking for a long term option and willing to pay upwards to 5K a membership for a nice place. Please PM me if you know of anything or anyone I may could get into contact with. Thank you.

Alright now someone has to know of something out there. Expanding search into Dallas, Wilcox, and Marengo County. As stated looking for a low member club or willing to do a lease. Will pay up to 10k for the right lease. Not looking to turn a lease into a club. I'm wanting this to have somewhere to take my wife and son. Also do not need turkey rights. I will pay finders fee!

I wish I knew of a place I would help you out. There use to be several good ones in the Dallas county and Wilcox county area. This may sound crazy but you might want to check the Pensacolafishingforum for clubs. The one place I knew of was leased out by some guys from Florida, and I want to say I use to see ads in that area from there from time to time. Good luck with your search.

Contact SJ Henderson. They run a club all along the Miller’s Ferry area. I think they are still doing it but not 100 percent sure.

There is a member on here occasionally who lives in the area you are talking about. I cannot for the life of me remember his name, but he at one time had a site call The Horn Swamp. I read every post he put on there. Seems like he ran an insurance company, but he had a large tract of land in the swamp bottoms. He also had "big name" outdoor hunters hog hunt the swamp and these were shown on various outdoor shows on TV. He knew everyone from the area and was involved in the academy hunts the local school put on using private land. I used to spend alot of my time in these areas and he always knew everyone I mentioned when we talked.

Someone on here will direct you to him, but I would get with him and let him steer you in the right direction. For the amount of money you are offering, I think he will be able to hook you up with what you are looking for.

Good luck in your search.

The man I am talking about was William Malone and he was always a top notch gentleman. After forgetting about trying to remember his name, it came back to me! I havent heard from him in several years, but good luck in your search.

I actually use to hunt SJ's land years ago. Its a great place. Unfortunately there is a group of guys that bought everyone out and have it to themselves now.

Just don't get hooked-up with a husband and wife pair call Donnie and Donna Mott. They used to have land north of Camden and those two, I heard from my buddies that hunted with them, were two people you do NOT want to hunt with or get involved with. I looked into joining their club until several people on here told countless bad stories about them. The wife was the really bad one. That was several years ago so I don't know if they're still around.

Riverdale, I presume???

I think that's the one that a (former?) member had a really bad experience with, due to those two. Like you said, especially the wife.

At one time it was Riverdale but that name became so infamous in hunting club circles that they changed the name.

Search for a member by the name "Bucktrot". You'll have to go back several years.

I don't know first-hand about the husband and wife team but the husband and wife picked up 500 or so acres a while back and put an ad maybe on ALOA (I think that's it) and they were looking for people to go in with them. I called the number and found out it was them and I said No Thank ya! I remember reading about them.
