Looking In North Alabama

Looking In North Alabama - 12/24/21 12:46 PM

For next season and beyond. Morgan, Lawrence, Franklin, Limestone, Madison counties all come to mind but I’d be willing to hear about anything in North Alabama. Not real sure on my budget but would prefer somewhere that had a shooting house or two and ok with kids coming once in a while. My oldest daughter will be 5 next season and is wanting to go hunting with dad 🙂.

I'd be interested as well. Just moved to Athens from Florida. I do not turkey hunt. Looking for a place for me and my 8 yr old son.

Are you looking for turkey only on an existing club or what? I'm also starting to look for a club in North Alabama.

I know I am joining the conversation late, but I am on the hunt to join a lease starting next season as well 2022-2023. Deer hunting, not turkey. Depending on the head count from your cousin, if the other guys dont fill all the spots, I would like to get some more information.

Yall should all discuss goals of what you're looking for and go in on a few hundred acre lease. There's a lot of timber company land available in Winston and Marion counties usually every year.

Heck guys, Contact Ibedwetter from here. He has gotten over 500 acres or more just knocking on doors and for FREE in the last month!

Dont lease land up here . Heck Its easy! Yall need to just start knocking on doors. Theyre letting even non locals up to hunt. No limits either.

If yall hurry you can still get a week in at least and pile them grin popcorn

I know I’m late in the conversation but are there still openings in the club? I’m very interested. Would like to know rules and acreage.

It's hard enough to find land to hunt up here when you live here.

I dont know. Fella on here Ibedwetter has picked up 3 farms since CWD was found here a few weeks ago Heck one is FREE.

.Even while he was traveling up here and filling pick up truck beds full of does and fawns. I guess they probably flagged him down seeing that truck bed filled with dead deer and said heck Yeah..thats the fella I need. slap

He even leased land that was already LEASED, but being not to big of a arse he told the guys who had already paid they can still hunt there but pack their chit as soon as 2/10 is over and get. loco popcorn

Re: Looking In North Alabama - 02/07/22 04:38 PM

I'm on the opposite side of the state ( NE Bama) and finding land here is all about who you know. Most of the paper company lands that aren't locked into a lease are on the side of a mountain, or don't have water. In other words - not worth leasing.
