And what I said still stands. Don’t get in a crappy club. A lot of drama clubs out there. Don’t ask me how I know please

Man I been in some crap clubs - made some $2500 donations and for me that a lot of money to hunt for pure crap

Paying more now for own spot - good for deer - not so much for turkey but way better than bad club drama

I have only been in 2 clubs that were really good hunting. The first one was a first year club and some of the rich guys conspired together to triple the dues the following year to weed out the rest of us when they realized how good the property was. The second one was nonstop lying, backstabbing, jealousy and drama.

About 2 for me as well Sasquatch - one instate in Marengo county - unbelievable property - hunted for several years - best deer and Turkey I ever been on. Came w ton of drama and 2 sets of rules - one for the members and one for the president

One out of state was probably the best - never seen this setup before - thought it was totally stupid - until I tried it. They gave each member 2 areas that only that member could go in - so u were actually managing your own land nobody else could hunt - they also had club plots r community areas everybody could sign out - by third year I was thriving there - only u could screw up your own areas

Pretty cool idea. I have hunted public land off and on my whole life but about 25 years ago quit all the club drama and went public land only...........and shot 3 of my best 5 bucks on it. I actually prefer public land, it can be very good if you put in the time scouting, which I like to do anyway. Most clubs I was in were very heavily pressured, actually more than public land.

Yes - I like public better - less pressure lot of times - a few clubs I was in pressure was unbelievable and u ain’t killing nothing worth nothing in that and nobody did

One of the wmas I turkey hunted was awesome and could call birds in especially early before the power yelpers hit them too hard - then I just went very soft and killed rest of season - but I put in the time to learn the land - the 2 wmas I hunted I lost access to but I like hunting public better than club
