I've been there, but it was a long time ago. Hunting was decent 20 years ago, don't know about now.

It was formerly know as C&W hunting club that was a dog club, seen several really nice deer killed off that property. It was turned over in 2012-2013 when it was around $13-$14 an acre for about 2000 acres of fresh cutover.

If its the one close to livingston...which i dont think it is..25 years ago..it was one of the best place around...now..i hear its midiocre..they lost land and have a huge number of members. The thing to remember..there is like 4-5 different clubs with the same name as this one.

It may be Carbon Climber - a googled southern sportsman and it bought up several comments on this site that I could google - it was from 2014 - this site had multiple members from aldeer and a board member and they spoke well of it but 2014 was several years ago and I hav not kept up w it in years

Apparently there are several clubs around that are named southern sportsman of some sort. I’m actually leaning towards leasing some land on my own vs a club but honestly the track I have my eye on doesn’t renew til July. I have a good ol boy handshake that is it gonna be mine but I’ll believe it when I see it. I’m just tired of all the drama that comes with the hunting club that I have been in and wanting away from it to enjoy just being in the woods. That’s why I’m trying to see about some that aren’t frequently advertised wanting members every year just to feel them out in case my original plan goes south.
