This club is always looking for members. Their must be something wrong with this club. If I were you I would find another club. I know several people that have been in this club, they say its a dictatorship. If you have to get a lot of members each year, well you figure it out. $1800 is a lot of money to be dissatisfied. Just a word of warning.

$1800 is also a reasonable price to be hunting a club with 140 acres per member (presuming guests allowed aren't out of control). A dictatorship is often the only way to run a club fairly, depending on who you get for members.

I think most all of the clubs up and down 112 have some turnover every year. If you know of a club with almost 20 members who all renew every year I'd be curious to hear about it. I'm in a fantastic lease in Millers Ferry with a great group of guys and we've had several changes over the 5 years the club has existed.

I'll finish with this. I know Jim Wright personally. Hunted with him for years in a club in Evergreen. I'll vouch for him with anyone who'd like to pm me, including you, gene60. He's a straight up guy and I wouldn't hesitate to join a club he runs.

That's one mans opinion. Talk to x members if you want to know the truth. Mr Robertd. I hear they need members, give them a call.

X2, I’ve hunted with Mr. Jim in Walnut Hill and he is a stand up guy. I can’t speak for this club, but Mr. Jim is a jam up guy.

Count that as two men's (three now, I am seeing a trend) opinion. I have hunted with Jim. Stand up professional guy that is true to his word. No reason to bad mouth him or his club. The fact that you know someone......is not near as good as knowing the man himself.

well..Id take the older members with standing here speaking up for the man to be a good indicator.

The club needs members, maybe some of you can call the number and help them out and join the club.

Or maybe you or your several people can provide specifics about something being wrong with this club before openly warning folks about it on a public forum

Yes. Three ol timers seems more legitimate than a newbie throwing shade.

I dont know anything about this club but not many clubs that don't need a member or two almost every year. Also not many that every member is always happy. Just the way it is. You put 18 men together somebody's not gonna be happy no matter how good it is. Good luck.

All clubs have attrition of some kind. We have had 4 or so years that we had to kick out members when they tried to lease club land out from under us. Most of the time it works out well, this year we didn't have a problem getting full membership.

I have been a member of middle fork hunting club on 2 occasions for a total of about for a total of 11 years. Am a current member now. There is not a problem as described in previous post. With 18 members you normally have 3 or 4 members who leave for multiple reasons and yes you occasionally have someone like Gene60 who doesn't agree with with current rules or doesn't like it when rules are not changed just to suit him. Good club with friendly people and close to home. would definitely recommend it.

Jim Wright is a fine man that loves the outdoors and deer hunting. I hunted with him in Walnut Hill, too, as well as guest hunted Middle Fork with him. Good people with good leadership looking for good members!!! Isn't that something every club wants and needs??
