Nice deer. Did all those come off that 36 acres? What kind of crops are usually planted around it?

Half came off of that or the land next to it that I have , and they all spent time on that piece.

All the bucks love to bed in that thicket with the cedars. It is really thick and we never go in there. A ton of deer bed in there. It is great thermal cover in the summer..much cooler then the bottoms. It also holds a lot of does. It is really good during the rut. It literally borders FOX CREEK, and in this area that means freaking giants.

The fox creek archery only area is also right up the creek a couple miles. Big giant Northern genetic whitetails.

The ag around it is usually corn one year, then the next year soybeans. Cover crop in winter usually. Those 2 big gates are to my farming friends land. They have a 2000 acres right there planted in a large area that even crosses the main road.

The land I hunt is THE BEDDING for around 2000 acres on one side to the west of PRIME ag land , and 600 acres to the south of prime ag land.

We put in lots of roads and food plots. This piece has 3 big plots. It also is part of a small mountain and even goes up over the top.

There are Hard woods and mountain hunting on a third of it. Roads and food plots through thick cedar thicket the other 2/3's.

Ive got another piece there and my hunting buddy has another. On those 2 pieces we have another 13 food plots and over 2 1/2 to 3 miles of roads.

My other hunting buddy has another big piece next to us as well. We ALL manage for big bucks. On over 4000 acres at least. We hunt low pressure, low impact and shoot only 3 1/2 yr old 8 points or better..but we mostly try to shoot 4 1/2 year olds and better.

I just cant maintain it all anymore. It is family land in an LLC.

Im getting old to be honest and I hunt it all by myself.

That 36 acres hunts like 80 acres with the 3 food plots and the hardwood terraces on the mountain There are two terraces of hardwoods up there, and a big thicket. It goes over the top a little ways into a big hardwood flat of my other neighbor. They have a couple hundred acres. They only shoot big bucks too.

Setting up on the edge of the hardwoods where it meets thickets on top is usually really good for 2 to 3 stands. The one food plot backs right into that cedar thicket where you see the bucks all walking down the road in the photo.

I just havent even hunted up there on the top the last few years like I used to.

My wife thinks Im killing myself trying to do it all so Im letting this piece go. Hoping someone with the same mentality buys it. We have a great thing going in the area...and we all get along.

I have to do 16 food plots and 3 3/4 miles of roads with it all. Im losing this 3 food plots and 3/4 miles of roads to maintain and it will make life a lot easier!

Besides..Im doing a lot of striper and bass fishing now on Smith Lake.... thumbup

Yall have seen me post about a bunch of great bucks I shot here. I got one this year too but didnt post it.

The big 4 year old mid 120's that I shot off his one antler opening day then shot and killed and posted here two week later 2 years ago, was shot within 150 yards of this piece..coming off it.

That big 7 to 8 year old nine pointer 4 years ago...300 yards from there...came down through that piece that AM as well. Hes the big one to the left by my fireplace in the photos on the MLS.

That big Eight pointer in the pics...re didnt shoot. We each took one or 2 good bucks this year there...everyone of us got at least one. He was living on me..I just pulled off and stopped hunting. Let him live. My neighbors to the west and south did too.

We passed him 2 years ago at 3 1/2 and this year he was 4 1/2. He will be a STUD 5 year old in the 150's this next season..no doubt and he LIVES on that mountain on my lands there. I have HUNDREDS of pictures of him..from little nubs last season... all through velvet to what you see now.

Trust me, great big buck land If thats what you like. Big genetics and really good neighbors..Including MYSELF!

No leases..you own it. heck..if we get along and you dont mind working Ill let you hunt the rest with me too..no charge..just help me maintain it.

By the way, my buddy on here Atlbravos has his own land by me and here is his 2017 buck. Both this one and the one in his other picture lived on us both. Great genetics in our area.

By the way, hes become a GREAT land and deer manager. His land is some of the NICEST now, all do to his hard work . Best hunting buddy you could want to have. And hes a big buck killer and has shot 4 trophies in the last 3 years hunting with me . His dad shot that big 15 point in KY. Good people. His dad hunts with us both on our land when hes in town. Good friends..via aldeer! thumbup
