Deer Lease - 01/23/17 05:34 PM

Me and Five of my buddies will be looking for a very nice lease or hunting club after the season. The club we are in now has no deer and we paid 6000 per membership for the hunting rights. So with that said we have some money that we could throw at a place or would consider joining with other people. We are only looking for a top quality place so if you know where this might be please let me know.

I'm afraid if I paid $6,000 for a membership that didn't have any deer, there would be some problems arising.

I guess my first question would be how well did you check this club out before you joined it. Did you talk to any current or past members as a reference.

My second would depend on how you answered the first, because I have 350 acres in Bulluck County that doesn't have many deer on it that I could lease you for just half that much for all 6 of you. Great place to go camping, do a little fishing and bond, but you aint going to kill many deer.

I always thought that the Tuscaloosa area was rich with deer. We looked at some land tracts a couple of years ago in that area and deer sign was everywhere.

If that place in Marengo co didn't have any deer or turkeys they might as well clear cut ever inch of it and then sell it for $500 an acre.

I'd be more interested in buying land if I was willing to spend that much.

I hope you fellas find a good place, though. With 4500 acres and no deer or turkey for $6k each sounds like yall gotten taken advantage of.
