Attention ! Attention ! Attention! To whom it may concern to all present, and future members of Pine Ridge Hunting Camp . Here at Pine Ridge we are aware of the daily struggles that we face in our economy. We all enjoy being able to hunt and we realize that price is a big factor. That being said after careful consideration for individuals , and the best interest of our club, we have decided to reduce our membership dues from $2,000 yearly ,down to $1,500 for the 2016/17 season. Our goal is to increase hunting properties , and keep hunting affordable. We are aware of the out of state costs that people face and hope this can help benefit our out of state neighbors as well as our local folks. Our club is important to us. It's a family oriented club. How many people in club? How many acres?

We currently have 3500 acres broken in Pike, North Coffee and South Montgomery counties. Lands are all within 20 minutes of our hunting club with the closest being 5 min away. We are also trying to expand our hunting lands which require more members for the increase in cost for added lands. As of this time we have about 20 to 25 confirmed members for 2016-2017 season.
We have a camp house available with bunks, bathrooms and full kitchen for your use. We also have a RV park across from the camp house for travel trailers with full hookups.
We have a cleaning shack for cleaning of game, ice machine for your usage.

How many members do y'all usually have when fun if you don't add any land?

Are you considering reducing the turkey only membership as well?

Where is your camp located. Close to Troy?

Our camp house is located 1 mile south of Walmart in Troy on county road 5516.

We are keeping turkey membership only the same.

As for questions of how may members, we try to keep a balance of 1 member per 100 acres. This helps in keeping costs of membership dues down. With this the only way of gaining more lands is to increase our members.

Turkey memberships will remain at $1,200

So how many members do y'all need?

We are interested in several. We want to grow our club. Most important to us is quality folks. Family oriented folks. People who care about future generations and the preservation of a club that's been around for years.

Use caution in this club....there is a lot of baiting that is going on. My brother in law says it is a lot of unethical stuff going on and he got out 2 years ago. Said the club rules change like the wind and everyone must come back to the clubhouse after every hunt and that could be several hours of travel depending on where you are hunting. According to him the game wardens around the area are on notice that this club is doing things that are illegal.

He must have been one of the ones we kicked out of the club. The game wardens in the area have keys to our gates.

Cool hand brother law could not follow the rules was a unsafe hunter and a trouble maker must run in the family. I'm sorry but he is not worth the time it took to writ this.Everyone knows you get a bad apple from time to time and all you can do is cull them out.

It's so amazing how someone can have only 3 posts as Cool_Hand_Luke and they are all about only one single hunting club. They hide behind a name due to the facts that they are scared of showing their identity.
When I joined this forum a few years ago I realized to investigate posts others share on this site due to the FACT THAT THERE ARE PLENTY OF WHINNERS WHO POST BAD THINGS ABOUT THEIR FORMER HUNTING CLUB.
I am so glad that I had done this since I did choose to be an adult and make my own decisions by myself. I decided to join Pine Ridge Hunt Camp Feburary of 2015 for this past season. I'm so glad that I did such because I was able to see plenty of deer and I harvested 3 does and 2 fine bucks this past season.
I hunted 3 of the 4 properties and saw deer 80% of the time I was on my stands. My 3 does we're mature does 3-5 years old weighing 135 to 145 lbs. both bucks were mountable bucks one 6pt and one 9pt. 6pt 145lb 9pt 160lb.
This was my first year hunting this club but I put the field work in to find some areas I wanted to hunt. You have to go to the deer if you want good deer. I've hunted in Troy since I was 7 years old and when I joined the navy in 1991 I gave up hunting. Now I'm glad to once again be in a great hunting club in Troy Alabama again. I was raised to go to where the deer are not try and have them come to me.

Pine Ridge Hunt Camp is a great club to be in. Yes, as with all clubs there are some disagreements by some who leave or get dismissed. Yes we have rules to follow. Rules are in place for everyone's safety. This includes our tag system which I have always agreed with, with a few other clubs I had been in. Tagging out in an area that you are hunting is a great way to protect yourself. If you get injured or something and you are not back in the evening then someone will know that something may have happened to you and there will be people looking for you. I'd rather be an adult and check out and in than be injured without any help coming if I could not call for help. Safety Safety Safety. That's the number one rule in hunting.
Planning on staying with this great hunting club a long time.
