Bow Hunting Only Autauga County

Bow Hunting Only Autauga County - 04/12/16 11:37 AM

I presently have a small tract leased for bow hunting deer only in Autauga County near Autaugaville. I may expand with adjoining additional acreage if I can find 1-2 people interested in managing for quality deer. Management goals of perspective hunters should include: Shooting only mature bucks, reasonable harvest of does, time, desire and some resources to help improve/maintain long term habitat projects and improved hunting opportunities, an emphasis on a low pressure presence during the hunting season.
This IS NOT a club! It's not a democracy! It's not a bring all of your 12 kids at one time, along with all your buddies, for a brown it's down, fill the freezer, four wheeler joy riding hunting party.
IT IS a very diverse private landowner lease with rolling terrain, young pines, mature hardwoods, hard and soft mast trees and mixed mature woods, established food plots and mineral sites. It has a good deer population and is/has tremendous potential to become a haven if you enjoy watching and shooting some very good Alabama deer. It's a place to reap what you sew if you enjoy working outdoors and watching a lot of deer with the stick and string in your hands.
Price would be negotiable depending on how much land was added and what resources you may could provide. I'm fully expecting to carry the lions share of the lease cost, and will try to make this a reasonable opportunity for the right person(s). Ideally I'm searching for someone local that can assist with habitat management that shares the same enthusiasm and ideology for bow hunting and deer management.
If Seriously interested or need further details send a PM

Man, I wish I could find something like this in Virginia!
Sounds like a jam up place. Good luck finding the right people. You almost need to receive resumes and references ha.

Same place?? If so, they burned the small piece across the road from Jones Hill drive yesterday. Should really help. I have pictures a of a really nice 10 pt. from the land that joins it to the south and in my corn field across the road behind the pasture.

Any turkeys? Interested in leasing turkey rights to offset your costs?

QDMAV8R lost the turkey rights because of me.... It was spring of 2007. I'll never forget it. I wasn't hunting that day, just enjoying the beautiful spring morning. They were gobbling on the roost first thing in the morning! I killed the biggest gobbler on the whole place that morning with a pair of nunchucks and a Nancy Drew novel... I didn't intend to kill him. I just wanted to see how close I could get. It wasn't until we made eye contact that I realized I was between him and his hens! I guess he could sense that I was in the mood as well. Not wanting to lose his hens to a gringo like me, he attacked with all the rage of an army of internet ninjas. I thought I was a goner until my Nancy Drew novel conveniently fell from my pocket reminding me that I'm somebody even though I'm getting my tail handed to me by a 26 pound ball of feathers and furry. The bright yellow cover of the book distracted him just long enough for me to pull my nunchucks and go to work! The first few licks didn't seem to phase him. I was undeterred recalling Nancy's motivating words. Just when I thought I had him where I wanted him, he Grabbed My nunchucks snatching them almost effortlessly from my hands. I instinctively shoulder rolled to the book laying several feet away. I slung the book backhanded like a ninja star hitting him at the base of his skull giving me the victory.
The scares and nightmares remind me often of that day.... That day the land owner publicly humiliated me in front of my hunting capadres. I will never be the same and QDMAV8R will never recover his turkey rights......
