Anybody have any larger tracts of timbered land for sale in south Bama? No young plantations or cutover.

I was told of 1500 acres on the Dallas - Lowndes line...but I think its mostly farm land.
That's a good area, but looking for timberland.

Perry county. Have 210 acres, 47 acres was cut and replanted 2 yrs ago. The remainder is mostly hardwoods. Good wet weather track, rolling hills.

340 acres just N of Thomaston on 25. 80 acres 10-12 yr old pines. 160 acres 14-16 yr old pines balance in hardwoods except for a 38 acre soybean field which he might seperate. $2400 an acre. Cruised timber and young pines supposed to go 60 tons an acre and older pines 80+. Nice tract. Creek on S side and road frontage on 25 and side road. Plots and roads in good shape.
