Kansas Muzzleloader - 04/20/15 10:56 PM
I have 2860 acres in Rush County KS for the 1st week of bow/muzzleloader season. This property is only hunted that week and the week of the gun opener in Dec each year. I have had this land since 2009 and we have killed some really nice bucks in their summer patterns over the past few years. The land has a house with 4 bedrooms and 2 bathrooms that we can use. I need 2 trophy hunters to join me for this hunt. You have to put in for the tag drawing by April 24th. Cost will be $1250 for each hunter. You will see lots and lots of deer and will have opportunities at deer over 150"

Anybody want to hunt KS this year? There are 368 tags availble that go on sale 7-1-15. These tags are in units 6, 15 ,16. This is a unit 5 hunt. If you buy a license in an adjoining unit you can select another adjoining unit to hunt. Can take up to 2 guys. There are 6 blinds set up on the property mineral sites and a feeder running now.
What unit?
Leftover tags go on sale July 1 @ midnight.

Not bashing the thread, but the early muzzleloader hunt is by far the worst hunt I've ever had in KS.

Re: Kansas Muzzleloader - 06/10/15 04:54 PM
Sorry you had a bad hunt with your muzzleloader. After 6 seasons I have found deer to be in a summer pattern and very predictable. Movement early and late with loads and loads of deer movement in the late afternoons on alfalfa fields. I would say on average I see 30 deer per day. There has been zero pressure on the herd for 9 months so their guard is down. If you can stay scent free and movement free then hunt the wind they will walk past you at 10'yards and never know you are there.

Something is fishy!! They do not show any LEFT-OVER tags for Rush County (units 4/5).
Plus the guy doesn't give the right info for Date of Sale for left-overs...
I would VERIFY before sending any $$$$

You are right BD Hunts. I looked up info last night and saw the left over tags for 2014. Sorry for posting the wrong info but it's now fixed. When you buy a license in a
unit you can list a 2nd adjoining unit and hunt it as well. The property in in Unit 5. I was not drawn in unit 5 but was drawn for my second choice unit 6. Let's Hunt
