Time to let a couple go; so,
Remington 788 Carbine, .308, 18.5" barrel, I believe these were only made 2 years, this one is 1981. Vintage Japan made Tasco 4x40 gloss black scope, plex reticle in period correct Redfield mount.
Bluing, bolt, bore and scope are near perfect. Scope still has inspection sticker on it and is very clear. Stock has few light handling marks. Gun shows very little use.

Got one just like it killed many a deer & a few hogs with it ,would be on of the last guns I would get rid of.

I’ve laid hands on this rifle fellas and she is every bit as nice as she looks in the pics, if not nicer.

My 1979 Gun Traders guide list the standard rifle for $110

And; gas was .25 a gallon
