I need to get the pics to you. Taking a break from the lawn mower at the moment. I think they're a neat little gun that fills a niche very nice. Only reason I'm considering getting rid of mine is I haven't pulled the trigger on a suppressor yet. That's the reason I bought the bolt action.

I bought one a few years ago and it was probably the worst rifle I have ever owned.
It was sub moa, and had a great trigger but I couldnt get it to fire 90% of the time!

Turns out, they have a known issue with light primer strikes.

I could shoot Winchester 150gr rounds, and some cheap ammo brand (forgot the name), but I couldn’t reliably shoot anything else.
If I recall correctly, Remington rounds would fire 1/5 of the time and Hornady/Barnes would only fire 1/8 of the times.

I called ruger, they tried explaining to me that it’s actually an issue with the rounds, not the gun.
They said some manufacturers use “military grade primers”, which are meant for free floating firing pins like in an AR platform, and the Ruger Ranch will only fire reliably with non-military grade primers.
They also said they would fix it if I sent it in, which I did, but it still had the same issue when I got it back.

I was so pissed off I couldn’t fire hornady (which I view as the standard for ammo), that I actually ended up just giving the gun to my cousin since he reloads.
