Divorcing, need stuff

Hey guys, I have been away for several months while in the middle of a divorce and even though it is going as well as expected It may still take some time to finalize and move out. Wanted to request for anybody that plans to get rid of home items to try and save em or message me. Obviously trying to keep cost low, but also want the kids to be proud of dad's house as well. Looking for all basic home items, kitchen appliances, coffee table, pots pans, furniture, dishes, cups, a toddler car bed, etc. I know I will be getting a few items from the house, but don't know what all I will get. Also fair warning, I won't be able to buy much now due to storage space and I don't know how much cash I will have after buying a new place. Thanks you guys, appreciate you and this group. Just glad it will all be over by next turkey season.

I may have a few things (in a climate control storage). I know I have a bookshelf, 3 nice barstools, and a small desk I could give you. Not in any rush. They aren’t in my way. If you think you would be interested I could get a couple of pictures.

I’ll try and look this weekend sometime but we may have some household items in storage from our move back 2 years ago..besides I’ve been meaning to go to the storage unit and do a little downsizing.

Hate to hear that. We’re in the process of purging after a new move so I’ll look and see what the wife’s throwing away and see if it fits your bill.

I’ve got a big dresser and mirror that’s in good shape except one leg is broken. I used it a long time like that and still would be but wife wanted mine to match hers. Free. I may have some other stuff. Anything I round up you can have. I know I have a king size brass headboard I paid $150 for and never used. My BIL brought it back from Korea.

We are moving up to the cabin full time as soon as possible. We will pretty much have an entire nicely decorated house up for sale soon including everything in it. We are going to have a huge estate sale in the near future to sell most of our stuff in Trussville prior to selling the house.

I had to do the same thing you are doing back in 2004 except I had 3 of the kids living with me as a single parent. So I feel your pain. All I can tell you is that it gets better.

I’ve got a storage unit in Athens that’s full. Whenever you get ready just let me know and you can have anything that’s not sentimental. There’s kids toys, furniture, exercise equipment, wall decorations, shelving, etc. I just want this crap gone and my wife has said for years we’re going to get up there and “go through it”.

I appreciate it so much guys! Like I said before, I don't know what all I will need or when I will be able to get it. But don't want any of yall to lose a chance to give it to someone else or sell it in the mean time. I will be getting a list down to know what all I need and be contacting yall soon for pictures after I make a list. Thanks again. and Irishguy, I have 3 kids as well. 2 girls(10 and 7) and a boy (3). Post an address (physical and email) either on here or by PM if you prefer. I've got a 10 yr old girl and I'd LOVE to give you a bunch of her old stuff my wife kept. Got a hide a way bed couch in nice shape with a nice slip cover I'd give to anyone who wants it as well.
