Some years ago I tricked one out for my son as a birthday present. The only thing that's Ruger is the receiver. Everything else is Volquartzen, CPC, Boyds, etc. $1200 later it shoots one ragged hole at 50 yards.
The 43x has a 10 round magazine and I find it a heck of a lot easier to shoot than the regular 43. The grip is designed different and you actually have enough room to get a good grip on it. Also shield arms is coming out with a 15 round flush fit magazine. That will make it essentially a smaller version of the Glock 19.
my favorite carry gun is the 43 with night sights and 2 plus 4 magazines. so i got 6 plus 1 in the gun thats easily concealable and 2 10 round back up mags. i can swap mags while its in the holster making it basically a 43x. I do have an ats or ati 10 round mag but to me the plus 4 mags look and feel better. I feel that gives me more versatility than the 43x without losing any advantages the 43x has over the 43.
