Deepwoods44, Id suggest combing through your local pawn shops and looking for Weatherby Vanguards. Usually every shop has 1 stuck in the back and it's usually a 300 WBY Mag with a tasco scope on it. If they are smart they would trade you for your rifle.
Agreed. The Remington 78 is the best Remington 700 ADL ever made. Literally all it is, and Remington 700 stocks will fit it. The bigger problem is although they are good rifles, they don't command a very good resale price. I'd say $300 max on a good day. Gonna be hard to get in a .300 Roy for that.
