Hey Drake, where are you located? I live in north AL and I needed a snake gun as well. I was able to pick up one at Larrys for $150 out the door with a box of 38sp ammo. Its a 6-shot 38sp Rexio RJ38. So there are deals out there. Just go to a gun store and tell them you want the cheapest 38sp revolver they have and tell them why.

Gadsden area. Larry's is a little far for me, but hey thanks for the heads up.

Might wanna consider a 'poor man's Taurus' for snakes. I've got a Ruger LC9 and use this stuff ... 10"-12" pattern 2' in front of you, will lay the slap down on a rattler
