LFTT 12/29

Got invited to come hunt with a good friend in Greene county today. Up in a ladder stand watching a hardwood draw with some pines on both sides. Good luck to everyone!

In Coaling on a gas line. Can see about 400 yds in both directions. Good luck guys!

Sitting on a pine ridge finger. Just lip squeaked a fox into 15 yards, so good start to a Monday

In the thinned pines again. This is where I've seen the most does this year so hopefully I'll catch big boy in here chasing one.

Hunting family farm in Jackson county, sitting in a tripod stand watching corner of a hayfield that has a food plot planted in it. Seen 14 so far, all does. I've had a doe and 2 little ones entertaining me for the last 20 minutes running around the field and thru a wet weather pond.

Back in the same stand where I saw the shooter yesterday. Maybe he will give me a shot today!

In Dallas with youngest seen 2 does and a spike so far.

Just got set up...waiting for the rain to move out before I came in this morning maybe they will be on their feet good luck to everyone

In the climber this morning watching a logging trail thru some thinned pines. There's a buck making a circle thru here and he's got several scrapes around. Fingers crossed that I get to at least see a deer this morning!

Watching a greenfield and cutover in Winston county this morning. If only I could see deer like I do squirrels and turkeys.....

I'm off work all week, so I plan on hunting as much as possible...I opted for a shooting house this morning while it's still misting rain/fog. I had a spike come out at 6:45; he fed in the field for about 15 minutes

Just let a spike walk....damn near coulda pet it

I am in a ladder looking over some pines that were thinned two years ago. Finally stopped raining. This has been a slow last few days.

Nothing yet here in evergreen. Rain just passed hopefully they start moving

Doe took a dirt nap in my field. Waiting on big boy to follow.

Been watching a big 8pt for an hour. He wouldn't come out of the thick stuff to give me a shot. I just watched him run off chasing a doe.

Just got settled in a tree top watching a holler that splits 3 ways. Got the youngest daughter on the gun.

Been back in stand since about 145. Changed spots and got in a pine thicket hat has a sowed road going through it about 100 yards off food plot.

Sorry for the delay in getting pics posted, but as others said I've been busy. I'm very thankful to the good Lord above for what He gave me this morning. That said, Claims Rep. Jr. is in a shooting house as we speak. If you would, say a little prayer that the Lord sends one his way this afternoon.

Way to go CR! That was good strategy letting that doe lay in the zone to the ol' boy showed himself! He was probably following her scent to whole way in. I probably wouldn't have thought of that.

Finally quit coughing enough to get back in the woods. Sitting on a plot that has not been hunted all season....we shall see.

I'm in an old shooting house that's on the ground this afternoon. It's thick as hair on a dogs back around here and nobody hardly ever comes through this part of our property. I'm tired of not seeing any deer, so I've come to them this afternoon! I just had a doe and a fawn come by about 10 minutes ago.
