I'm new to public land hunting. I don't want to know your honey hole but I want to know a general idea of where to kill all of the aforementioned species. Feel free to pm me a detailed map or GPS coordinates. It would he more convenient if we could discuss specific spots on the open forum. Thanks in advance for your help!

Cahaba is where it at. Just get a blind and hunt a powerline or a roadway. The Pea Ridge side is the best. I will post you a map if you need one.

One more tip: Beware of fake craps. Some folks are sneaky. I only use real craps as a deterrent.

The deer and hogs will be in the thickets. The ducks will be near the water. grin Good luck.

Southwood I would go to Oakmulgee or National Forest Land near it.
Get at least two hours away from Birmingham. The deer size and numbers have went way down at Cahaba. Deer dog hunters and rabbit/deer dog hunters along with people drivers have had a bad impact on this WMA. Clubs around hopes you walk everywhere and will sure hope you waste your time runrning deer off to
them.

Yep. No killing fox squirrels on Oakmulgee in February, either.

Does anyone want to meet up and do some man drives at Cahaba? I hear there are some big ones out there.

There's a group of 20 or so you can meet up with every quota hunt. They get around pretty good. You'll know the whole place in no time.

Double check me, but I think I read that on the back of the Oakmulgee map yesterday. The map was shade pink or light red, too.

I'll look into it. I might be an outlaw and not have known it

I'm with Brad on that. I've even seen thickets in water that held deer and ducks and hogs.
