When will they post the updated WMA maps? I'm looking to do a special hog hunt in Aug/Sep, but I'm not sure when it opens.

Just got a note indicating the Lowndes special hog hunt is scheduled for August 15 – Sept 5.

I checked today and it is august 17 - September 5 for the hog season on lowndes. And the WMA maps should be on the website sometime this week.

Am I reading the one for Lowndes correctly? Opening day is Oct 25th and it closes Feb 10? I didn't think lowndes was in the area for the extended season?

Yeah u are reading right. That makes no sense to me either. Way to far north to extend the season in my opinion

All of Lowndes County is included in the extended season.
