Etowah County Stud!!!

Great deer. There was a big 12 killed in Etowah County this week too.

I saw pics of that 12 pt on Facebook. Looked to be pushing 140".

Maybe bigger. Did a girl kill the one you saw?

This deer was killed by a good friend of mine. I posted pix of it on different hunting FB pages. I don't personally like the fact that you took the pic and posted here without anyone's consent; however this does deserve to be seen and talked about. Sarge spent almost 6 years in the Marines so that's why he was in Marine Corps digital trousers. He was in sniper mode when he shot it. He was in full ghillie suit when he shot this with his .308 with silencer. He let many young bucks walk in his life in hopes to get a big un one day. Well he did that for sure. We hung it at my house and caped it out and I assure ya this joker weighed well over 200 after being field dressed. Took him to a good friends in Heflin to have it mounted so we'll have score in a few months. It's projected he'll be in the 150s by several credible folks.

It shows me asking him before I posted it and him saying "Sure Bud, I don't mind a bit". and then you get on here and blab a little too much about the hunt. Not very smart dude. First off I wasn't blabbing. I thought it was pretty friggin awesome how the hunt went. This is his first buck and all so it was pretty intense. Second I didn't know he gave u permission to put it one here, but obviously he did which u knew that so no need in trying to talk smack and act hard "bud." Yes you can. You didn't say it. The other guy wanted everyone to know how intense the hunt was. He gave way too many details. If you think wardens an the dcnr don't keep up with this site you are mistaken.

Hey y'all, this is the feller that got the stud I like to call the Lookout Mountain Swamp Donkey. I wish I could afford a suppressor and the tax stamp to legally own one and even have the gunsmith job done to my Remington 700 26in Bull barrel. I did not use one or do I hunt at night. I have let a lot of bucks walk over the years because of their age and size. All that waiting paid off on a 6 year old 12 point. If you let the young spikes up to small 8's walk they will get as big as this. That is why it is my first buck, and I sure am glad I have had the patients to wait for 15 or 20 years to get this mature buck.
