In a litte box stand watching hayfield and powerline. Ran some deer out getting in. A pack of coyotes opened up 100yds from me just before daylight. Sounded like at least 5. Creepy.
Present in SE Madison county. First morning I've hunted this place in 4-5 years. It's a freezer filling hunt this morning.

Dang. They done opened up again! Close! Prob ran every deer off by now. I’m gonna kill one if I see one.
Watching an old skidder trail in some pines, think I just had my target buck slip by. Couldn’t get scope on him quick enough to tell before he was gone

Nicenovercast
Got in the stand at 5:45 this morning and at 6:15 someone came crashing through the bottom 100 yards away from me shining a light and going nowhere particular. Had to whistle at him twice to stop him from getting any closer. Oh well.

Ditto. With my brother today. He ain’t been in stand 30 minutes and just shot a doe. He on a meat hunt. I’m on powerline where my buddy who was with us yesterday saw a good 8pt. but elected not to shoot. I have him on camera and I’ll definitely shoot him if he comes out today. He’s a good one. Had him on camera last night BUT I did hear some shots over here this morning….. we shall see.

Re: LFTT 2/3 - 02/03/24 09:48 PM
Went fishing this morning and now I’m in the stand across the road
Been one of those days that are few and far between. Right after daybreak this morning a big buck my son has been hunting all season steps out and when he clicked the safety off to shoot and was about to squeeze the trigger the buck used his 9th life and walked off. My man was kinda down about it so later a doe came in and I told him to shoot the doe. He piles her up and another comes out and starts blowing at that one so I grab the gun and shoot her. Fwd to the afternoon hunt we head to another lease and as we are walking to the stand I see a nice buck feeding in the field so we crawl up and get him set up to shoot and he piles him up. It’s only 2:30 so I hid him in the bushes and got two more shells left so it’s my turn now.

Sometimes luck just dont go your way. Heard him chasing out to right all afternoon - 6 does filed n
I hav had trouble w freaking armidillos all year. I said he coming - heard him - does snorted and cleared the field at 5:38 - was a dilla
Unbelievable - sat there dejected - thi king this deason has kicked my nuts with switching winds and dillas all freaking season - dillo stoped making noise - was going to shoot him if he cane out - only saw him for an instant. At 5;46 sitting dejected i saw something dark n back of field - i had given some desperation grunts after the dillo - i was in smallish field i call the buck field. Checked deer and thought he had good beams - was gone study and he was by tree line and went to trees - put one in him amd he donkey kicked
Hope he aint small - it was late and my read said good - think he my #1 but not sure - he was leaving - bout to go check
Cool Tdog. Keep us posted! Hope he is the one you wanted!
Good luck T hope you hammered him!!

Thanks
Congrats killers
I was blessed to hav it work out the way it did. I was questioning everything n my mind and thinking i could lose deer with rain coming. My son and my good deer hunting buddy were both with me - they came to help!! My hunting buddy also works with me - he found blood and i hollered over - u bout on top of deer then - i heard him crash. Always thought he was close - thicket makes it hard! Deer was 5 yards from where he found blood and prob did not run 60. Got to experience we son and buddy as rain was starting - blessed - then we had steak celebration dinner w my wife included
Congrats T! Stud there brotha!!

Great deer t dog. I took a trotting shot at a coyote at around 100 yards or so. When I shot he spun around in a circle like I hit him and then he hauled it back where he came from. I couldn’t find any blood and didn’t look real hard either. Maybe I did hit him and he ran off and died.

I always thought those were two different companies just shared the same name but it appears I was wrong. That would be awesome if they did that
