On the road to st Clair county to hunt with a buddy, we got some young fellas on the trigger and Looks like it’s going to be a beautiful morning! Hope to see some little men put something on the ground so we can go eat breakfast. Good luck fellas!

About to pull in gate

Just pulled up at camp still sitting in the warm truck here in aliceville. Gonna be a beautiful morning. Gonna sit on the creek at edge of a fresh cutover and hardwoods. Don’t have good service at this stand so hopefully I’ll lay one down early so I can come out and see all of y’all’s pics of deer today. Good luck today fellas deer season is winding down.

I've walked 1.7 miles, seen a shooting star, heard a screech owl, climbed 2 trees, cussed a man in a treestand and killed a big boar and it ain't even daylight yet...

Sitting on the edge of a hardwood bottom and planted pines. Listening to the creek flowing behind me is almost to relaxing. Good luck to all that’s out this morning.

Well after multiple hunts with his pops to no avail. After 15 mins on stand with me, my little hunter just shot his first buck. A trophy spike. Needless to say with all the noise we just made you’d think someone just shot the state record. Pics to come when we find it!!

Sitting on ground watching rd. Had a deer walk toward me @ 610 but sunrise glare wouldn’t allow my scope or my eyes to adjust. I’m going to say it was a spike just to make myself feel better.

Well Boys this is, T and his first buck he has hunted hard for 2 years with dad. He wanted to change things up this morning and sat with me and the lord blessed us with a 9 minute successful hunt.

Congrats to him, nothing like the first deer and the first buck....hope he has many more to come.....

Back in bullock watching powerline and hay field. Seen about 12 does and 1 4pt. My 2 hit list bucks were on camera here 2 nights ago so we’ll see. Neighbor, who I haven’t heard all year, shot 4 times and then heard an atv a bit ago. I hope my bucks are still walking.

I have seen two 4 points and a spike. All three were together. The two 4 points looked like twins.

Fun morning. Saw 8 doe, a knot head, a racked buck of unknown size and an absolutely beautiful 3 yr old 8 point. Symmetrical, good mass and tine length too much potential to shoot. I have a lot of weird racked deer and had decided yesterday that I was gonna shoot any funky racked deer regardless of age because it’s burger time. So of course Mr. Perfect shows up

She was excited when the two 4 points and the spike came out.

Well shot a big 5 point this morning at 915. Saw 5 in total. 4 spikes one 7 that I can’t wait til next year on and the big 5. Checked a few cameras on my way out and every buck we got has daylighted this week several times in greenfields. Them boys are hungry now that the rut has wound down. Gonna see if we can do some doe patrol this afternoon.

Back in this swamp. We had lots of action this morning at my buddies place a doe missed a spike and an eight point and a coyote shot. At lunch We saw a 8point cruise the pasture into this swamp woods we are hunting, had a 6 point in camera here too. Got a different young fella with me for the afternoon, he missed a doe this morning so hopefully we will get a shot at redemption. I’d be happy as I could be if he got that dandy of an eight we saw go in here. Wind is swirling but they are on the move. Good luck this afternoon fellas!

Don't even know if there is a deer in here but there is sign. Got paw n law in a shooting house where he killed his yesterday. Wife is at the farm on a food plot where we got garholed this morning. Sitting on a high point overlooking a green field with hardwoods and creek bottom behind it, surrounded by 4 y/o loblollies. Got kicked out of CVIU room to go hunt by my old man who had the widowmaker heart attack less than 72 hours ago. Don’t give a rip if I see a thing, just out here thanking the lord for more time with my pops.

I didn't bring my bibs this afternoon. I done gots chilly...

My wife doesn’t want me going with her she says I am always in rut.

I have been in a beautiful spot for the afternoon hunt. Got in at 2:00 p.m. Have not seen a single deer.

I didn’t see a single deer this morning. Came home mid day..

Got busy and forgot to look late but nothing earlier. What a difference a day makes. Neighbors were doing alot of shooting today

Them Jackson boys laid em down this evening! My brother doesn’t hunt much and that’s probably his second best deer! I shot the nanny, it was a good evening.

Congrats fellas! We had 4 9-10 year old little fellas hunting today, we ended up dragging out a spike, doe, coyote and a 8 point and had one missed doe. Needless to say we had a great time and had some happy little fellas. Congratulations to the killers!

That’s awesome. Always great when you can get a kid out in God’s creation.

3+ hours on a hunt for 5 seconds of action. Couldn’t get it done tho. The big 7 I let walk earlier this week and swore he wouldn’t get a pass again came by. He was dogging a doe and I had another .03 seconds to get on him. When I did, he was going about Mach 3 behind her he got by me. I wasn’t gonna hunt in the morning because it’s my week to teach Sunday school. However, since the afternoon is gonna be a wash I’m going to give it til 8. Maybe he’ll come by again.

Overall a real slow day. Saw 5 does and the buck. Most everybody at Pine Level Processors was saying the same thing. Several deer were brought in, 1 was a pretty good one, but overall the consensus was a slow day.
