Hey All,
I finally am getting some time off and headed to Covington County area. Will be there for a week. Wondering if anyone has a report on rut activity there ?

Bucks have been on their feet the past few days. Several people seeing some chasing going on. Should be a good weekend.

My brother and I saw five bucks this morning. None were chasing.

I'll be 2 days late and 1 good buck short headed down there in the morning. My cousins buddy killed him 100 yards over my uncles property line on their side about right where I was going to hunt him Saturday.
What can you do. I'm happy for him and congratulated him on a really good buck, which it is especially for our immediate area. Still going down, small change of planned sits but I've got my sights on another buck now.
