Pumpjack question

Pumpjack question - 07/09/22 02:20 PM

My new lease has a pumpjack and the deer seem to frequent the water that pools up after the pump has been running. There’s other water sources nearby, which makes me question why they seem to prefer this groundwater. Has anyone else noticed this at their place?

I wonder if something is leaching out of those gravels to make it sorta like a mineral lick??

Ground around them is salty.

Salt water comes out of the ground with oil and gas. In fact, most that are on some sort of power oil system like that one produce more salt water than they do oil/gas.

I'm with you on that one. Ill probably never use them again. I was wondering if he was going to attach them to trees to get elevated and hunt. I have hunted off of 3 sets of 6-1/2 scaffolds before so I could sling arras over some cedars that I couldn't cut.
