Just sat down in a field. After my buck yesterday, I’m pretty much just observing

I’m watching a road in between some thinned pines. Timber crew is thinning part of our lease about 800 yards away right now.

In a ground blind on a cutover in Clarke county. Had a shooter chase a doe by me in here this morning. Hopefully he runs back through her.

It has gotten really slow in walker co for me.. I’ve been skunked the last 3 times I’ve been to the club.. up until then I’ve seen deer every time I’ve been

Huntn2feed5, I haven’t seen a shooter buck on camera in over a month. Just 1 or 2 does around 1AM. This is the first time I have seen deer in the daylight. I have been hunting in Lamar Co where there are deer everywhere and this place hasn’t been touched so I don’t know what is going on.

Just settled in for another afternoon hunt. Things haven’t been real productive as of recent. Maybe today is the day!

Running a little behind this evening. Just settled in. Wind is swirling like crazy. Don’t have high hopes with the wind like this.

Set up just observing. Don’t even have a bullet in gun. Would have to look like an elk for me to shoot

Our shooter 8 was on camera eating at 9:30 this morning. Hopefully he keeps it up first daylight pics all year. Second rut is about to bust wide open.

Why does he need another year?

Re: LFTT 1/25 - 01/26/22 02:11 AM

Sat and saw 2 does and a single horned buck. He was all over one of the does. He was chasing the snot out of her. That’s the first true rut sign I have seen.

Re: LFTT 1/25 - 01/26/22 04:39 AM

He needs another year cause I am doing my best to shoot 4.5 yr up and he was not there body wise. I would love to run into him next year though. I am on my second year of trying for 4.5 yr olds and it really limits the shooting opportunities, at least in my neck of the woods.
