I've hunted a ton of cwd states and they all had great deer and always saw a lot.

Could have it been stopped if a bunch of dog hunters killed all the deer in the first state it was found?

The Hemorrhagic diseases are the ones to fear. 2012-2013 it killed big numbers out west. Some say 80% in South Dakota.
Most of these populations have come back. It takes years though.

no, because it gets in the ground and infects deer that eat there.

What portion of the herd does cwd kill vs ehd. We've had some years where we found dead deer in and around ponds, assumed dead from ehd. Never noticed any affect on population. We probably have too many deer, but I'm not complaining

Blue Tongue and EHD are the hemorrhagic diseases.

Nebraska estimated 50% that year. They were close where we hunt.

But even with CWD in that area the herd is back to normal now. It rebounded in about 3 years

Until someone proves it to me otherwise, I’m not worried about CWD affecting the deer herd.

You should be proud! You are now revered as one of the best deer killing machines in all the land. People will remember you for your dominant hunting prowess. You sir are Chuckie’s go to killer from here on out. Chuck may need you to do some other things for him also cause as you say it’s gonna be done anyway so you may as well be the one to blow him.

The biggest two excuses for wrong doing in the world:

1.) If I didnt do it someone else would

2.) The Govt said it was OK and we HAD to do it.
