Sitting in a ladderstand on the road at the edge of some thick pines. 20 degrees here in Pickens county. Dead calm at the moment. Not sure what is louder walking in, dry leaves or frozen dirt. Sounded like a log truck walking to my stand. Bad news is I found out when crossing the creek that my muck boots have a leak. Good news is I’m getting a new pair of muck boots. Good luck to everyone today. Should be a slaughter this weekend.

Settled into my climber back here in the flooded timber. Should be wide open around here for the next couple weeks. Fired up

In a ladder stand no one has hunted. Left side of road was planted last year, right side has been pushed up to plant. There are tracks up and down the road. Had to rip the camo off because it was full of yellow jackets

I’m in a shooting house on a food plot at the farm. It’s the last weekend of season for us in Zone D and I’m hoping to lay eyes on an ugly, bully 5.5 year old buck that’s came to this plot in the daylight (morning time) twice in the last 6 days. He needs to go!!! Good luck to y’all

Little late but headed back into Thigpen day 2.5.Partner killed a young 7pt yesterday so we were a little later getting to bed. Another party killed a descent 9 yesterday. I have not seen a deer yet. I’ve seen over 20 pigs though.

I'm sitting a power line this morning. I've seen 8 does a 7pt and spike. There's a gobbler with 20+ hens putting on a show next to the creek and a bobcat walked past them a few mins ago.

Just settled in at 7:30 and gonna sit until 11 or so.. watching a road that goes through a hard wood bottom with two different stages of pines on the other side that creates a nice edge for the deer to walk.. sat here yesterday and only saw pigs..

Swapped trees. Definitely should’ve gone with gut instinct. Much better view

No movement yet but canned in a beaver!!

Walked up on a buck with what appeared to be decent horns but he got away before i could do anything.

Mighty slow. Only 2 shots heard. Seen 1 spike early. This is weird. My buddy in Macon hasn’t seen a deer either and he’s usually half a dozen or more by this time.

It is weird I've saw 2 doe and only heard 1 shot here in Elmore County. They were hotter than a fire cracker Wednesday

Just had a doe train of 9 come thru. I bet only one of them was over 50 lbs.It looked like a preschool teacher walking her class to lunch.

Took a break from the deer this am. Trying to shoot a duck on the pond. Only 5 woodies dropped in on us . Sounded like a war on the river . Good luck and be careful !

Had a spike and a 4 pt at first light. A lone doe skirted the field by herself at 7. At 7:45 a small spike and a buttonhead came out and had a battle royale. Hung around for about 25 minutes and left. Just had a tall 4pt come out and pass through. No shooters, but they are definitely on their feet.

5 more so far. Total of 14. Tall 4 point spike and 3 does. Best morning hunt this season

1 young doe for me…I knew better than this!!! Temps under 30° does one thing to the morning movement at our farm: shuts em down

Saw pretty good deer with doe in pasture...rushed like hell n cut him off n realized it's a big broke up 6pt I have on cam prob 3 yr old he should be nice next yr if he lives

Just got back in the stand. Somebody’s beloved canines are once again running a deer through my place. If they don’t get their valued pets some hooked on phonics real soon, so they can read my posted signs, a car may hit them and send them down one of these ravines. Never to be seen again. I just adore other peoples free roaming pets. ❤️

Wife is headed back to a food plot and get in the shootin house

Ended up seeing 19 this morning. Best day by far this season. Went in got a sammich and now I’m sitting in a shooting house on a greenfield this afternoon. Little over an acre field that was knee high in greens last weekend. Now exactly half the field is 6 inches tall. I was wondering if they were ever gonna start eating the fields. Got pics of several smaller bucks in this field daily and one nice one every couple days. Maybe today will be one of those days. Sun is shining bright and warm with a slight breeze in my face. Stay tuned.

Back on a big greenfield this afternoon and as soon as I got settled in 2 does came out. I saw 20 this morning on a power line so I expect to see 30+ on greenfield this afternoon.

Just had a dog come in and bark at me. Hopefully everything will settle back down before dark.

Just got set up in a field with my daughter. Son is climbing in some thick pines nearby. This field hasn’t been hunted much

Couldn’t see him although he was only about 25 yards away. I’m in a Rhine 180 pop up blind with the see thru mesh, the sun was glaring on the side he was on and I couldn’t see out.

Back first sit in three weeks here and not expecting much. Very few deer on camera this year on this side

My daughter, our new hunting puppy and I are sitting a small plot in a thick cutover in north Baldwin county.

Duck hunters just opened up on the property line. We are 10 miles from River. And we gave alligators and duck hunters. Go figure. They did push an 8 point out though

I went and sat for 3 hrs to take a little inventory for my boy since I'm tagged out and my friggin cell cameras keep eating batteries. I put new batteries in 7 moultries last night at 8:Pm after work and all of them are giving me low battery messages and only one sending pics. I took 10 spypoints out of service earlier in the year for the same reason.

Oh, and I saw 18 does and 3 bucks over the 3 hrs.

How many pics you getting a day? Are you using lithium batteries? In my short experience with cell cams lithium is the only way to go with cell cams.

Had a 20" 5×5 get passed me this morning at 7. Ended up killing a nice 8 point at 4:45 this evening thankya lord.
